EPI Environmental Products Inc. (EPI) developed a specialized landfill cover technology in 1997. The unique technology enables an engineered geosynthetic film, commercially known as Enviro Cover, to be simultaneously applied and anchored to the working face of landfills. Enviro Cover works as an alternative daily cover to effectively control disease vectors, odors, fires, blowing litter and scavenging.
Enviro Cover was recognized by ASTM as a non-reusable geosynthetics in 2000. In the same year, EPI’s technology was adopted by the then largest landfill in the world, Puente Hills Landfill in California, U.S.A., to cover their working faces. Since then, Puente Hills Landfill had continued using Enviro Cover System until its closure in 2013.
With over 20 years of experience, EPI Environmental Products Inc. continues to develop its landfill cover technology to suit the needs of different landfills. It has developed Enviro Cover films for daily and intermediate cover applications. The range of Enviro Cover Deployers is also expanded for working face of different sizes, from small to large/mega size.
Enviro Cover System is now helping some of the largest waste management companies and municipal landfills in the world to save airspace, time and costs and to control environmental issues at the working face.
